The changing fortunes of Acton Town

This morning, I bought a steak and bacon meat pie from the new-ish markets in Acton Town. Yum! While wandering down Church Road heading for the station after a big night out, I couldn’t help but notice how many fancy and expensive stores there were. Now Church Road has always been a hit and miss affair with rather grubby and multicultural stores at one end and boutiques and hair dressers down the other.

Another thing I noticed last night was that Acton Town is now predominately a Polish/Middle Eastern area. 6 years ago is was mostly Aussie and Kiwi with only the one street being Middle Eastern. Interesting I know.
