Have you ever fallen asleep on the tube and been woken by the tube driver at the end of line? I managed to do just that last night.

Coming home from a work night out, I caught the District Line from Wimbledon but on the way fell asleep and was nudged awake by the driver at High Street Kensington. In my ‘I’ve too many beers‘ state I decided I’d just get on the train on the other platform regardless. I didn’t look where it was heading or if it was even still running. It was 1am after all but I figured as the doors were open it was. Luckily it was headed west and towards Hammersmith. I’ve vague memories of walking home after that and eating Maltesers in bed before crashing out!

It could have been so much worse had the train gone east…

It’s 11:51pm London time and it has begun to snow again. Given last Mondays effort, the stand still of an entire city and beyond, I wonder what tomorrow morning will bring… Will I be able to get to work? Or will the tubes and buses be shut down. It would be nice to have a day off due to being snowed in but I have lots to do.

Let’s hope it’s the right kind of snow this time. And that there’re no leaves on the track…

You’ve got to love pay day. Especially when it’s been over a month since the last one and you’ve traveled to Russia and had a couple of (many) big nights out since. Oh wait, there are bills to pay… It was good while it lasted.

Well it would seem that more than two weeks have passed since my web site relaunch post… I’m nowhere near having the site ready you see as I’ve not even touched the rebuild yet. At this stage it’ll be a thing for the new year.

I’m off to St Petersburg this Wednesday and won’t be returning to London till the 30th where on my return I’ll be preparing for a debaucherous new years eve party in Wimbledon. Then returning to work on the 2nd and 5th.

So as you can imagine, finding the time to code up my new site, may in itself, take some time. Stay tuned!

Last Friday night after a few ales, lagers and whiskies at my works new local, we ventured on to a Karaoke bar. Complete with booths, widescreen TVs, dual microphones and a remote control that looks and reads like a giant Korean calculator. It was a good fun night and the photos are here and the video is here.

They push and they barge

It seems to me that some people on the tube believe they have a god given right to get through the crowds faster and in a more direct route than others. Perhaps they believe that they’re the only people in the station in a hurry for the train. It also seems to be women in their late 20′s to mid 30′s that are the most common culprits of this tube rage.
