It’s almost been a year since I went to Berlin and I’m getting the urge to go back again. There are a few things I missed the first time around such as the rubble mounds and a bit of the Nazi architecture. Plus there’s the night life…
Germany is a fantastic country, it reminds me of Australia in a way. Everything just works and runs and operates like it should and Berlin is just great. I can’t describe why, it just is.

I’ve just arrived back from my week in Gibraltar and Spain and have the photos to prove it. I flew into Gibraltar where I had a crazy night at the pub with some of the locals before heading up north to Granada, Sevilla and Madrid. The weather was great, the people nice and Spain lovely.

7 years ago today I landed in the UK bright eyed and young as a fawn or a puppy or something young… I’ll have to head back to Aus at some stage soon, either for a holiday or maybe for good.
Anyway, I’m currently in Madrid at the tail end of my travels through Gibraltar and Spain. It’s been fun and the Spanish woman are hot which isn’t exactly a hinderance.
I’m back in London tomorrow and still have a few days off before heading back to work. I plan on heading back to Ouch Tattoo’s to get my tat finished and generally just chilling out. Maybe I’ll work on this site and maybe some PS3.

Currently in Gibraltar on day 1 of my trip. I’m sitting where else but a pub called the Star Bar with a Heineken and have just polished off a Burrito.
On first impressions, Gibraltar is a surreal version of England. It’s pretty well the same in terms of shops and people, only it’s sunny and with Spaniards and Arab types about.
Tomorrow I’ll see if I can find a dive shop I’ve seen a flyer for and book for the next day before heading up the Rock, camera at the ready…

It’ll be an early rise tomorrow morning as I’ll be off on the Tube headed for Heathrow Terminal 5 for my flight to Venice. I’ll also be spending tonight packing my bag or bags.
A beer after work is all that’s on my mind at the moment now though so I’ll plan what I actually want to see and do on the plane.
I’ll upload some photos to Flickr once I’m back.

Did you know that countries such as Djibouti and Guam drive on the wrong side of the road? Or that the US Virgin Islands and Bangladesh drive on the correct side of the road?
This interesting article explains the origins of why countries drive where they do and is a pretty interesting read.

Back in 2007, my ex-girlfriend and I went to Australia to spend Christmas with my family. We also flew down to Sydney for a few days while my brother and I also had a road trip down to Canberra to visit the Grand Parents and see our old town of birth. The photos as usual are on flickr so check them out now.

I’ve always wanted to learn to dive and last year while in Egypt I spent about 6 days or so diving in Dahab undertaking my Padi certification. I took it all the way to the Advanced Open Water level so I can dive as deep as any other recreational diver. It was such an amazing experience and I’m hanging for my next diving holiday.

Last year I buggered off to Russia for Christmas and my 27th birthday. I ventured first to St. Petersburg for 3 days or so before heading south on an overnight train for Moscow. Both were incredible and very very cold! I managed to see most of the sights I wanted and also bought myself a proper fur hat made from rabbit.
